New York State Gay Marriage Act | Minnesota Gay Marriage

New York State is the next state that has allowed gay marriage.  According to an article in the New York Magazine, the act that has allowed gay marriage was passed 33-29.

Tweets such as the following are popping up over twitter to say how New York has the new law:

Thankfully, there is the one new state that has gay marriage in it.  However; Minnesota isn’t so lucky.

As many Minnesotans know-or at least should know-that during the 2012 elections; we will get the chance to vote on whether or not the land of 10,000 lakes will be able to host gay marriages on several of the lakes after the 2012 elections.

The Minnesota DFL has launched a Gay & Lesbian Family Campaign that will hopefully help with getting people to become aware of the issue.  They post several youtube videos of families that talk about why gay marriage is important to their families; such as:

There is a Facebook Group entitled ‘I WILL vote NO on the marriage amendment!‘ that currently is floating around 70,959 attendees already.  So with any luck, this time in 2013; Minnesota will allow gay marriage.
